Monday 4th May. It was approximately 08:00 pm when we eventually found this crop formation. Daylight was rapidly disappearing so by the time we parked the car and entered this formation it was almost dark. As it took us a while to get here and the time it took to locate it we decided that it was still worth taking some night time shots. Entering shoulder high Canola field at night can be quite disconcerting at first but the large open circles gave some room to breath and relax. It was a still and very quiet night so quiet that distant sounds of passing cars were easily heard. While we were getting our cameras ready a sound combining of rustling and buzzing came directly behind us which made us look and pause our camera assembly for a few minutes but we did not see anything. Pole shot images were coming out poor as the built in flash was not powerful enough to light up the field, so I set the flash to a higher setting and tried again. At the time pole shots were a pain as I had to set a 10 second timer and raise and position the pole high enough before the shutter clicked. With settings changed I raised the pole again and this time watched the field to see how much extra light the flash produced. As the flash went of something round and fairly large appeared for a split second. At first I thought I was seeing things so I quickly checked the taken image.
A large beach ball sized Orb appeared and hovering over the Canola - you can just see my colleague kneeling down by our kit bags in the tram line within the large circle. He had no idea that something was directly behind him . Three other smaller orbs also appeared which are visible on the left hand side of the image.
Larger Orb now moved over the tram line !. I have to say that it felt kind of strange to think that something which may not be from this Earth was there watching and observing.
Canola within this crop circle was fully flattened to the ground with a substantial amount of damage.
Nice and crooked - looked better from the air than it did at ground level
